Colt Starting

At Johnson Ranch & Performance Horses, we specialize in training colts no matter their background. Our methods ensure that each colt receives the individualized attention and training required for a successful start. Whether they come from a ranch setting, have minimal handling, or are completely untouched, we have the knowledge and skills to work with them effectively. Our goal is to develop a solid foundation in every colt that will set them up for a successful future in various disciplines.

Horse Training

We extend the same level of care and dedication to outside horses as we do to our own. Each horse is exercised fairly, ridden a minimum of four times a week, with a focus on both physical conditioning and mental stimulation. Our objective is to return them to you as a transformed horse, instilled with trust and reliability, ready to excel in anything you ask them.

As a team, Bridger and Kristin come from backgrounds immersed in the world of horses, driven by a desire to change things up in the equine industry. Bridger's all about the ranch life, breaking colts and handling teams like a pro. He's flipped plenty of horses and knows the ropes like the back of his hand.

Meanwhile, Kristin's got her focus on the arena scene, training horses for all sorts of events—Barrels, Breakaway, you name it. From hunt seat pleasure to western pleasure, ranch pleasure, and reining. Combining their talents to make waves in the horse world and raise the bar for horsemanship everywhere.
